We may not talk about Bruno, thanks to Disney’s hit movie, “Encanto,” but everyone in San Diego will soon be talking about the free, fabulous films being shown every Friday night (and some Saturdays) at a park near you.

This June kicked off San Diego Parks Foundation’s “Come Play Outside: Summer Programs for All of Us” with “Summer Movies in the Park.” The County of San Diego has been hosting this beloved local tradition for 16 years and this year is going to be bigger than ever thanks to our generous sponsors and partners.

We’re rolling out the red carpet, grabbing our popcorn, and showing family-friendly blockbuster hits like “Encanto,” “Sing 2,” “The Jungle Cruise,” and other fan favorites at 23 parks across San Diego.

We’ve added 14 new locations where beloved flicks will be shown, one of which is sure to be premiering in your neighborhood. This is your chance to relax and enjoy a safe, free, family-fun night watching Hollywood stars, under the stars, in cinema classics such as “The Princess Bride,” “The Aristocats,” “Space Jam,” and more.

The fun begins before the movie does. Come before sunset to enjoy great games, fabulous food trucks, and toe-tapping tunes until the movie starts rolling. We’re the supporting cast who helps set the stage for your family’s night out to be the next box office smash!

We hope you’ll catch a movie or two (or seven!), to make the upcoming weeks a summer to remember. Check out the movie listings and schedules here.

See you there!
